Let's Talk About Jango Fett

Something we get asked many many times: WHY IS THIS FIG SO EXPENSIVE??

So....... let's talk about good ol' Jango Fett

He first appeared as the secondary antagonist of the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. A Mandalorian bounty hunter, Jango is regarded as the best mercenary/bounty hunter in the galaxy of his era. He is the 'father' of Boba Fett, another very popular character featured in the 1980 film Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.  After Jango's death at the hands of Mace Windu, Boba follows in his father's footsteps, using his father's armor, equipment, and ship.

So why is this Jango (sw0053) so expensive.....here's a few little tidbits about him:

This Jango only appeared in 1 set - 7153 Jango Fett's Slave 1, and was the very first iteration of a very popular character

Only 4 total figures have been made of Jango in the 25 years of LEGO® Star Wars.

This version has been used in popular LEGO® Star Wars video games as well.
